Consistency

In a world of chaos and the unexpected, it is nice to find a bit of consistency in your life.  When you have portions of your life that are consistent and that you control, it makes it easier to deal with the change that is bound to occur on a daily basis.

Morning

Having a morning routine can be extremely helpful for your life and consistency.  Getting up and spending time getting ready and maybe even meditating can get you balanced for the day.  Maybe do a few jumping jacks or push ups and get ready to take on the day.

Focus

Write down the tasks you want to achieve and learn to focus.  Getting tasks written down and on your agenda makes them more achievable.  Focus on what you need to do to make the task a success.  Keep working on whatever is required to make you a success.  Little pieces of motivation can remind you what you are doing all the hard work to achieve.

Thoughts

Your thoughts must be consistent if you plan on being consistent.  Rereading powerful thoughts is a great way to motivate yourself.  Empowering your thoughts is a great way to take control of your behavior and overall well-being.

Self-Doubt

Don’t let self-doubt creep into your life and cause you to ruin the confidence you have in your goals. Don’t let anything get in your way and keep you from achieving your dreams.  Stop dwelling in self-doubt and get your goals in order.

Do It

Do it even when you don’t feel like doing it. This is usually a short-term goal that you must stick with even if you are dying trying to achieve it.  However, if you start waking up too many times and realize you are not happy doing what you are doing, change your direction.

You are What you Do

Remember that you do what you do and what you do is what you are.  If you don’t feel like exercising, remember you are an athlete and athlete’s exercise.  Realize that you must work hard to be something great and that sometimes that work can be tiring.

Don’t Hurt Yourself

Don’t do things that disappoint yourself.  You never want to lower your self-esteem and lose respect for yourself.  There is no way to escape yourself and you must always have an inner motivation to keep you going and to show consistent behavior.

Focus on the Process

Many of us are focusing on the wrong thing.  Focusing on results is not the best way to get things done.  You should focus on the process and the potential results you could achieve. Give yourself credit for showing up and trying and don’t be too harsh when results don’t show up as quickly as you would like.  Remember, all good things come to those who wait (and put in the hard work).

Love What you Do

Succeeding in life and being consistent doesn’t come easily if you don’t love what you are doing.  Find facets of your life that you love and try to incorporate that love into future goals.
