Do you ever feel disgruntled, ‘put-out’, or in a bad mood? Of course, we all do. And it doesn’t take much to tick us off in this old, infested world today. For instance:
I hate stickers, and I hate sin. I hate sin for bringing stickers in.
The worst are the grass burrs in the end, hard to stop pickin’em once I begin.
Next would be the interesting and vexatious goat-head. Quickly pull the hateful things before they start to spread.
Check your shoes and pants legs before you’re back inside. You’ll regret that you didn’t when you walk where they hide.
Those weeds with stickery seeds that disgruntle us the worst, are the consequences we inherit from old Adam’s curse.
Oh, we can get angry and fume and fret, but we’ll always deal with such things ill set.
So, with an attitude of gratitude for blessings we can’t count, let’s banish our discouragement and all our trials surmount.
ONLY FOR THOSE WHO LIVE RADIANT LIVES
Although this world won’t be your permanent home,
You’ll not pass through it all alone.
You’ll share a spiritual influence with many in turn
And by your good example, others led to learn.
“Wisdom lights up a person’s face, softening its harshness.” (Eccl. 8:1, NLT)
